SRHS AP EXAM RESULTS EXCEED NATIONAL AVERAGES

St. Rose students continue to take and perform strongly on the Advanced Placement exams, surpassing National averages.

 

AP SUBJECT AREAS

During the May 2015 administration of AP Exams, 145 St. Rose students completed 222 AP tests in 13 subject areas.  AP exams were administered in:

  • Biology
  • Calculus AB
  • Calculus BC
  • Computer Science A
  • English Language & Composition
  • English Literature & Composition
  • Environmental Science
  • European History
  • French Language
  • Spanish Language & Culture
  • Studio Art: 2D Design
  • US History
  • World History

 

AP Exam Scores

AP Exams are scored on a scale of 1-5.  Scores of 3, 4 and 5 (qualified, well qualified, and extremely well qualified, respectively) indicate that students have proven themselves capable of doing the work of an introductory-level college course in a particular subject area.  Of the 222 exams administered,

  • 14 exams scored a 5
  • 43 exams scored a 4
  • 68 exams scored a 3

 

100% PASS RATE

Congratulations to Mrs. Gracia Delgado-Lavalee and her students in AP Spanish Language & Culture who earned a 100% class rate on the exam.

 

SRHS STUDENTS EXCEED NATIONAL PASS RATES

The students in the following classes earned pass rates which exceed the National pass rate.

  • Biology: 71% of the St. Rose Students earned a score of 3 or higher compared to 60.5% of students taking the exam nationally.
  • English Language & Composition: 80% of St. Rose students earned a score of 3 or higher compared to 55.3% nationally.
  • English Literature and Composition: 65% of St. Rose students earned a score of 3 or higher compared to 54.6% nationally.
  • European History: 71% of St. Rose students earned a score of 3 or higher compared to 53.6% nationally.
  • French Language and Culture: 80% of St. Rose students earned a score of 3 or higher compared to 76.4% nationally
  • Spanish Language and Culture: 100% of St. Rose students earned a score of 3 or higher compared to 89.7% nationally.
  • United States History: 67% of St. Rose students earned a score of 3 or higher compared to 52.1% nationally.
